One of the best ways to maximize your space is by creating rooms that serve more than one function. In this example, a single space converts to four different functional rooms. In it's primary incarnation, it is a den — providing the perfect place to chill out in front of the television or listen to music while enjoying a nice glass of wine. A cabinet under the TV conceals media equipment, keeping it accessible, but hidden. Overhead cabinets provide storage for items less frequently used.
The room is also a wine cellar with state of the art storage ammenities to keep drinks at the perfect temperature. A commercial quality wine refrigerator was designed to fit to the left of the media center. The larger depth fits neatly into the corner and extra storage for deep items is included with a cabinet above. An under counter beverage refrigerator sits under the TV, perfect for keeping beer ready and waiting. To the right of the media center is open storage with wine cubbies, storing up to 40 bottles. Two shelves, one glass, offer storage for liquor best kept at room temperature or a place to decant wine.
The opposite wall houses the guest bedroom/home office. A wall bed is the perfect solution for small spaces or overnight guests. The queen size bed with euro/slat style box spring is extreemly comfortable and durable, but closes completely away during the day when the room is used for business or entertaining.
